You’ve probably already know from the notice in your dashboards that WordPress 3.0 has been released. And, if you haven’t already done so – upgrade!
NOTE: If you are a current AIM Custom Media client on a service contract, just site back and relax; we already upgraded your site. Also, we found a few WordPress plugins that needed attention as well (that’s done too).
Why Upgrade?
WordPress 3.0 is faster, stabler, and more secure. The changes are significant. And, the upgrade allows you to focus on what matters – your content and your customers. Subsequent to upgrading your site, you’ll notice a few changes to the design of the Dashboard. Also, there are additional features to use while managing your content, such as:
- Custom post types,
- MU merge,
- Menu editor,
- More theme options (widgets, etc.), and
- Over 1,200 bug fixes (that’s tech jargon for things that were supposed to work in previous versions but didn’t always do so).
