FYI: Blogs are designed to share links, content and ideas. They keep like minded people connected and help to build subject matter knowledge as well as a sense of community. Blog subscriptions are one of many mechanisms used to keep people informed. Email newsletters are separate from a blog subscription, although many people don't recognize the difference between a "blog update email" and an "email newsletter" (they are very different animals).
